The
Montecatini Golf Club is deep in the green Tuscany countryside
a short way from the medieval hamlets of Montevettolini and Vinci
between the Versilia coast and the magnificent cities of Florence
(46 km), Lucca (31 km) and Pisa (61 km).
It has long been a meeting place for golfing enthusiasts from all
over the world. The golf course follows the natural hilly form of
the area and each of the 18 holes has individual features. From
the 9th hole, for example, all the previous 8 can be seen and the
5th, 10th and 18th have 2 little ponds.
The Club house must be mentioned, an old Tuscany hamlet, now restored,
whose original part dates back to the 11th century. The golf course
has 18 hole, Par 72, length 5,857 metres. Putting green, pro-shop,
bar and restaurant.
