Ugolino Golf Club is largely synonymous with Italian golfing history, being the oldest club in Tuscany and Italy, established in 1898 in the heart of the Chianti area, just 8 km from Florence.

The 18-hole, par 72 golf course is 5,741 metres long and was constructed in 1934 by British architects Gannon and Blandford. It is a highly spectacular hillside golf course requiring technical skills.

The club house built in the 1930's, is today a perfectly restored national monument and a rare example of rationalist architecture. Many competitions and national championships have taken place there.
