Originally built around 1220, the stunning ruins of the Abbey of San Galgano are what is left of a Cistercian Monastery. The roofless walls of the Gothic style 13th-century Abbey church offer a magical frame to capture the moment in which you exchange your vows of endless love, surrounded by unique views of the Tuscan countryside.
Wrapped in wheat fields rather than vineyards, Villa Ginevra can accommodate up to 25 overnight guests. It has a lovely infinity pool which overlooks the landscape. Just imagine spending a warm, summer evening enjoying a deliciously Italian pre-wedding pizza-dinner as you relax against a haystack under open skies and never-ending fields.
Wedding reception
You can choose to hold the wedding reception in the garden or inside the reception hall.
Villa Ginevra can host 90-95 guests with a small marquee. For 60 guests or less you do not need a marquee.
Wedding accommodation
The hamlet is divided into 6 original, cozy apartments. All the apartments are lovely and have terracotta floors and wooden beams and have been tastefully redecorated in a truly ancient Tuscany style.
Civil and Religious wedding ceremony
Civil ceremonies can be celebrated in the most amazing setting you can imagine, the roofless Abbey of San Galgano. Symbolic ceremonies can be organised in a wheat field accessible through a private road. This option will need to be pre-arranged with the owner. It is also possible to be blessed on site by an Episcopalian pastor.
The wheat field can also be used to enjoy delicious canapés or share a pizza-themed evening with your guests.
